Chiswick Book Festival Online
12 – 28 June 2020
ABOUT THE EVENT
This year’s Chiswick Book Festival will take place from September 10th to 16th 2020. We hope you’ll join us – but instead of gathering in person, we’ll be meeting here at Chiswickbuzz online, with sessions taking place on video, Zoom and in podcasts.
We shall be welcoming, among others, Mihir Bose, Peter Hennessy, Jeremy Vine, Amanda Craig, Mavis Cheek, Iain Dale, Rosamund Lupton, Hashi Mohamed, Oliver Soden, Jo Pratt, Steve Richards, Trevor Barnes and for the children’s festival, Konnie Huq, Rob Biddulph, Zoe Antoniades and Joshua Seigal. There’s also an Ernest Hemingway winetasting – and several Ealing events.
That’s in addition to Antonia Fraser, Michael Billington, Alexandra Shulman, Loyd Grossman, Polly Toynbee and Patricia and Jean Owtram, announced earlier. Authors will take part with no live audience, via video, podcasts and Zoom, both live and recorded. There will also be a Local Authors Evening, recorded in advance. See the full schedule on the Speakers 2020 page, and watch here for updates.
There will be fewer events than usual and most will be free of charge. Instead of selling tickets, we’ll be relying on donations and sponsorship, so if you usually buy a few tickets, please feel free to give generously. We’ve kept costs as low as we can and if we make a surplus it will go to the Festival charities as usual. Please donate now via DonorBox!
We are very grateful to our Diamond partners, without whom the Festival could not take place in this way: Savills, The Arts Society Chiswick, Waterstones and our two technical partners Chiswickbuzz and The Chiswick Calendar, who will provide video and podcast facilities, as they did for the Bedford Park Festival Online. Thanks too to our other partners, listed on our Partners page.
If you have any queries about the Festival, please email admin@chiswickbookfestival.net.
